Update: This meeting has been postponed. I will continue to speak to those within the 118th District regarding these potential movements.
It has been brought to my attention that many water districts in the 118th are being considered for consolidation. I believe this should be a public conversation. This concerns our community, our water, and our voice should be heard.
We understand that there is a private meeting happening on Tuesday, June 16th at 10 am at Thrillville Complex (3000 DeYoung Street, Marion, IL) (The Old Marion Mall).
This appears to be a move towards privatization, and without further information and communication we cannot support this.
